For the Love of Citrus, Hearts, & Saved Seeds

A hint of what's to come. Deep in a Montana winter a few things uplift the spirits.

Love of hearts is around the corner.

Every Friday I will offer a Garden Recipe, that will guide you on how to plant seeds from scratch, where to find seeds, how to grow your own food, and what to do with the harvest: cook it, store it, preserve it, and enjoy the sweat of your labors.

The sun is rising behind the garden shed...the shed is waiting patiently for spring? And, the deer fence hugs last year's sunflowers.

Post office box seed catalogs. My favorites: Territorial Seeds, Pinetree Garden Seeds, Seed Savers Exchange, and Johnny's.

Each year I save seeds from the crops that were successful. They dry and are collected to wait for spring.
Stay tuned! Garden Recipe Friday will begin the last week of January.
